full warranty means the unit can be replaced with a completely new one when it is found with a factory defect. maybe you need to insist and enforce the warranty or better yet examine the provisions of the warranty that the unit came with.

You need to check your local laws. The lemon law normally does not cover used vehicles but that is in Florida. See if you can find an answer here. This is for the CA attorney general.http://ag.ca.gov/consumers/general/lemon…

Google Lemon law California and you will get all the info you need.
Start with a letter to the manufacturers USA offices letting them know you are filing a Lemon law claim and the reasons and that you want to talk to a representative. Copy the law as an attachement so they know you know what it is about. Relate the specific law issues (IE three attempts to repair with no resolution, 30 total days in repair for the same problem, etc.)
Document all conversations with notes and be sure to have all repair receipts. Ask your repair shop for copies before taking any actions.
New Motor Vehicle Board 916-445-1888 handles lemon claims for MCs.
Also use this link:http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums…
Basically follow his steps and apply it to your situation. Good luck.

State lemon laws usually only come into play if the dealer attempts to do a repair and is unable to do it, multiple repairs does not activate the lemon law here it is so you can get the info first hand.~

As I understand the CA lemon law it is aimed at dealing with one problem the dealership can not correct after repeated attempts. Call any consumer advocacy group and talk to them. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time but I think you are stuck with a clunker. Sorry.

Based on my reading of a summary of the statute, this doesn't SOUND like a lemon law case. It sounds like the dealer successfully repaired each problem as it came up, hopefully under warranty. While you seem to have had a higher incident rate than usual for the suburban (although it is not rated very reliable to begin with), you also have put fairly heavy mileage on it in two years as well, so you can't really make the case the car was out of service.
The approach I would probably take is to talk first to the service manager and indicate your history and general dissatisfaction, and see what they offer. I'll assume the car had a standard warranty and is out of it now. Depending on their response, you have nothing to lose by talking to the dealer about a replacement and seeing if you can get them to kick in a little extra trade in because of the problems.

The 7-years reporting limit starts180-days from when the account first goes delinquent. So if it went delinquent in 2002 and you never paid any other money on the account, that will be your start point.
The statute of limitations is something else all together, that varies by State so I posted a link where you can look your State and check.
If the lender has not come after you by now, consider yourself extremely lucky. Most sue and get judgments and at that point they can attach bank accounts, garnish wages (if your State allows it) and file liens on any other property you may own like cars, boats, land and homes.

When you sell any used car it is sold "as is". You are not a dealership that must warrantee for 90 days. The lemon law is only for new cars...has nothing to do with private buyer/seller. When buying from a private person the rule is caveat emptor.....let the buyer beware. You are totally 100% not liable for what happens after you get paid, sign the title over and the person takes possesion of the vehicle.....think about it.....what if they mistreat the vehicle in the first 2 weeks....would it be fair if they could be the shiit out of your car and then return it.....the answer is no....go ahead and sell without fear.
PS: As a private individual you are allowed to sell 5 cars per year...after that you'de have to get a wholesalers permit.
