ca lemon law

I am a loyal Saturn owner, however I’ve had some issues with my 2007 Saturn Ion. My car just turn one year old and it’s spent 8 weeks at the dealership getting repairs. I’m one away from implying the Lemon Law. The problem is engine misfires. They’ve replaced the whole top half of my engine and it still misfires. I often sit at my destination waiting for the check engine light to come on before I turn it off. One of the Saturn employees told me that all the Ion’s misfire at an Idle. He told me that he has 2 Ion’s and they both do it. Does this make it ok? Engine misfires cause problems with your catilack converter, that’s an exspensive repair down the line. Any one who’s from Ca knows that a bad cat. converter doesn’t pass smog. Am I being petty, or should I *****? Does anyone else have engine misfires in their Saturn? Please let me know!

I wanted to buy my mother in law a tree because she likes lemons, but it’s very rainy and overcast there, being so close to the ocean. We have some in San Bruno, but it seems to be more sunnier there.

We bought a brand new Suburban right before Christmas in 2006, so we’ve had it now for 2 years and have put over 50,000 miles on it. Within the first month 2 seperate problems came up with the keyless entry system (remote). After that, within a couple of months, the 4 wheel drive gave out. Within a couple-few more months the 4wd gave out again. We have had a couple other issues crop up as well… NOW, as I was turning left through an intersection I heard a soud like something metal flew out from under my car and then the words “service stablitrak… service traction control” came up…
Since we had a bunch of things come up ever since we bought it does the CA lemon law apply to our car? Or, does it sound like we are basically stuck with a car that will need repairs???
The latest instance SCARED the hell out of me because while I was idling at a stop light, smoke (grey colored smoke) started coming from the back of my car… would that possibly warrant the dealer taking it seriously enough to try to work something out?
I’m mainly worried because we have 4 kids all in car seats and now with smoke coming from the car I’m worried something may happen one time when I’m driving and won’t be able to get them out in time…
Thoughts?

I recently bought a 2005 car from a dealer. The check engine light was on when I bought it and they agreed to fix the problem. Upon fixing the initial problem they discovered more problems with computer issues. I am now being told that my car has a faulty wire to the computer and they are trying to repair it but will take several days. This is the 2 trip I have made for the problem and the 4th trip to the dealer including diagnostics, incorrectly ordered part, etc. I have had the car for 1 month and they have covered all repair costs and are trying to get me rental car for the weekend on them. If the problem requires additional repair or the problem cannot be located/solved does it qualify under the CA lemon law?

I recently bought a 1993 Lexus Gs300 off of someone in California. A few weeks after buying the car I had tried to go take it to get smogged and it would not pass. That was one problem, the other was soon after a month owning it the car battery died. After having bought a brand new one, the brand new battery died again after one week. There are too many things wrong with this car.. does this make me illegible to file a case against the people who sold it to me?

We bought a used car from a private party person in AZ – engine blew within 15 miles of leaving seller’s residence and the seller will not refund money or take any responsibility. Do we have any valid recourse?

I purchased a car in Sept. of 06. In February of 08 with 15,000 miles on the car I brought the car in for a problem when changing gears. They couldnt diagnose the problem because they said it wasnt frequent enough. I then brought the car in again for that same problem plus a vibration that lasted 4 seconds and occurred every 20 minutes in the beginning of July. They said they felt the problem when we test drove it and tried to fix it. When the car was picked up a week later, it was still doing the same thing. It was brought back again and we were told again that it lasted too short a time each time for them to figure out what was wrong. After many talks with the manager and more tests run on the car, they are now going to change the transmission. If this does not resolve it, do I qualify for Lemon Law or do they have to try to fix it another time? The car now has 19,000 miles on it because of all the test drives they have done on it. Does that change anything?

I have already started the case we are about to finish and i got in a hit and run in a parking lot. Does this give the car manufacture the right to dismiss the case in the state of CA?

Repair men have come to my home 5 times, and worked on the fridge twice by putting in new compressor they are going to put in a third compressor which probably wont work

when you file a lemon law case in california do you (the consumer) have to pay the attorney? or does the car maker have to pay those fee’s?
